Do Some Good During The Better Day Giveaway

How magical would it be if we lived in a world where acts of kindness were expected. If every person you passed on the street smiled at you, every door was held open, every sneeze was greeted with a “bless you!” Sounds pretty amazing right? Well here is the crazy thing, you, me, WE are the only reason that this is not the status quo. We have full control over the amount of kindness we give and therefore the amount of kindness in the world. While we shouldn’t have to be awarded for our kindness and we should want to contribute to someone else having a good day… Sometimes a little motivation can be a good starting point! That is where the Better Day Giveaway comes into play.

The Better Day Giveaway is a month-long kindness initiative created by Heights Finance, Southern Finance, Covington Credit and Quick Credit. Do good, document the good, share the good and be entered into the giveaway. From August 24 to September 24, you can complete one act of kindness per day and rack up multiple entries in the giveaway. Plus, you’ll get more entries when you share your good deeds to Facebook, Twitter or email via https://www.heightsfinance.com/better-day-giveaway/.

The Better Day Giveaway will award $500 to a weekly winner every Monday and $5,000 to the grand prize winner on September 25th! Now I know no one is going to complain about a chance to get some extra cash, but you may be wondering why the contest got started. The answer is shockingly simple. All four companies wanted to promote good deeds in the communities where they live and work. It’s been a hard year for many of us and while we have all come together as a universal community, there have definitely been times where we’ve felt alone and helpless. However, there is good that has come out of our current circumstances. If we choose to notice the good, the bad seems much less overwhelming.

This may sound too good to be true, but the power of positivity is available to each and everyone of us already. Think back to one of those days where everything seemed to be going wrong for you. Maybe your alarm didn’t go off, you missed the bus, got stuck in traffic, spilled your coffee and were late to work… BUT, suddenly someone holds the door for you, gives you a bright smile and a cheerful “Good Morning!” This one person decided to show you kindness and helped you pivot into a more productive, positive and happy day. You can be that turning point in someone else’s day.

Acts of kindness don’t have to be elaborate. The simplest act can have the biggest effect. Start small with a friendly wave and build-up to starting a friendly conversation with someone who seems lonely, or paying for a stranger’s coffee. As you implement this into your everyday life, document it and share it with us, so we can promote the positive change you’re bringing to the community. What do you have to lose? You will amass a fortune in spiritual riches… And maybe even some financial riches too. Kindness costs you nothing, so spend it like crazy!
